Oar and Paddle Regatta

Since 1991 we have been raising money for FOS through the annual Oar and Paddle Regatta. The Friends of Sengekontacket, Inc. and Island Spirit Kayak work together to host a 2 mile paddle around Sengekontacket pond and State Beach. 

 

The race is held the last Saturday or Sunday in August. T-shirts are provided as part of a modest entry fee. Regatta organizers tailor race courses to weather conditions and type of craft, typically ranging from rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards.
